I agree with Michael that most people havn’t got a clue where this look comes from.
Equally so, many men wear ties being completely unaware of its actual origin and original function. If it matters to them, there is Google out there for that, too.
At times, things start as one specfic phenomenon, and then, spread out as a major trend. In the process, a new quality has been achieved, and old rules cease to apply…
